I redid my RH8.0 installation to be a new install. Now the icons etc are OK
and the NIC is fine. Still having problems with the sound. I ran sndconfig
and it seemed to be working. I could hear the sample sound. Sound is
enabled from the preferences/sound menu. When I run the sound card
detection from the system menu nothing is found. The hardware browser finds
the sound card with no problem. End result of all this is no sound. I'm
stuck as to where to go from here.
