Not sure if it's available but I have a VDSL connection from Qwest (along with television and two telephone lines). I opted for the faster network connection and I get a full 1 megabit both ways. (I test it every now and then and, so far, they've been good at delivering the bandwidth.) The service comes in on the traditional four-wire telephone connection to a "box" stashed in a corner. From there, the network connection runs to a firewall (LinkSys) on the net connection and the family and work systems are behind that. Also coming out of the box is a single piece of RG-58 coax that runs to all the TVs. Sets are tuned to channel 6, 7 or 13 and each set has its own remote control for tuning. Note that Qwest says they block ports to prevent home-based web servers for customers using this service. A service upgrade to avoid the port blocking is *NOT* available. (I asked.) We pay about $130 per month: $40 telephone, $40 television and $50 high-speed Internet. Reliability has been very good but I probably wouldn't notice downtime in the wee hours.
