LOM == Lights On Management (IIRC).  I operate two Sun Sparc Netras that have a
LOM serial interface to manage the machine and check it's status while it is
running or not.  Hooked it to a Terminal server so that I can remotely access
the LOM in case I can't SSH to the machines.
