xfontsel gives you the font names to pick out for other applications
that might need them.

After that, you'll have to feed it to your applications.  Depending on
your install, you might have something fonty in the gnome control
center (gnomecc).  

If all else fails, show up to an install fest and demand
fontificaiton.  :-)

\_ and i still don't know how to get something off my floppy

mkdir -p /mnt/floppy
mount -t auto /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy
cd /mnt/floppy
ls
....
umount /mnt/floppy

Because, when you finally learn, and it breaks/is upgraded/..., then
you have enough know how to go fix it as opposed to the M$ no-how,
no-way can the user fix it.
