Howard J. Shaw howard@excelco.com 480-217-4214 -----Original Message----- From: plug-discuss-admin@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us [mailto:plug-discuss-admin@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us] On Behalf Of J.Francois Sent: Monday, August 12, 2002 12:52 AM To: plug-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us Subject: SPARC IPC - Free to a good home I have a SparcStation IPC that until Wednesday used to be my DNS server. It has been replaced with a SPARC-10 so I will give the system away to the the first person to email me that wants to give it a good home. It has OpenBSD 2.8 pre-installed and it used to run Debian Linux before that with no problems. It is setup for DHCP but I will give it an IP address if requested. The root password has been reset and will be given to the new owner. It has no monitor, keyboard or mouse, I access it via serial-null modem cable or SSH. All you get is the unit as-is and the power cord. You will need to buy an AUI Transceiver to hook it to Ethernet Hub or Switch. If you have never typed "boot net" and want to learn how to do a "boot net" then maybe this would be a good learning system for you. See dmesg,ps,netstat output below for system details. If no one wants to claim it by Tuesday, in the trash it goes. bash-2.04# dmesg OpenBSD 2.8-current (GENERIC) #99: Thu Dec 7 22:19:15 MST 2000 deraadt@sun4m.openbsd.org:/usr/src/sys/arch/sparc/compile/GENERIC real mem = 8335360 avail mem = 5132288 using 101 buffers containing 413696 bytes of memory bootpath: /sbus0/esp0/sd@0,0 mainbus0 (root): Sun 4/40 cpu0 at mainbus0: MB86900/1A or L64801 @ 25 MHz, WTL3170/2 FPU cpu0: 64K byte write-through, 16 bytes/line, sw flush cache enabled memreg0 at mainbus0 ioaddr 0xf4000000 clock0 at mainbus0 ioaddr 0xf2000000: mk48t02 (eeprom) timer0 at mainbus0 ioaddr 0xf3000000 delay constant 10 auxreg0 at mainbus0 ioaddr 0xf7400000 zs0 at mainbus0 ioaddr 0xf1000000 pri 12, softpri 6 zs0a: console i/o zs1 at mainbus0 ioaddr 0xf0000000 pri 12, softpri 6 fdc0 at mainbus0 ioaddr 0xf7200000 pri 11, softpri 4: chip 82072 fd0 at fdc0 drive 0: 1.44MB 80 cyl, 2 head, 18 sec audioamd0 at mainbus0 ioaddr 0xf7201000 pri 13, softpri 4 audio0 at audioamd0 sbus0 at mainbus0 ioaddr 0xf8000000: clock = 25 MHz dma0 at sbus0 slot 0 offset 0x400000: rev 1 esp0 at sbus0 slot 0 offset 0x800000 pri 3: ESP100A, 25MHz, SCSI ID 7 scsibus0 at esp0: 8 targets sd0 at scsibus0 targ 3 lun 0: SCSI1 0/direct fixed sd0: 202MB, 1310 cyl, 7 head, 45 sec, 512 bytes/sec, 415436 sec total le0 at sbus0 slot 0 offset 0xc00000 pri 5: address 08:00:20:0e:ff:52 le0: 16 receive buffers, 4 transmit buffers bwtwo0 at sbus0 slot 3 offset 0x0: SUNW,501-1561, 1152 x 900 bwtwo0: attached to /dev/fb root on sd0a rootdev=0x700 rrootdev=0x1100 rawdev=0x1102 bash-2.04# ps ax PID TT STAT TIME COMMAND 1 ??
