Sorry, my previous reply was a dorect response to your request. The 'urpmi *' method only works if you have downloaded ALL the files necessary from the Mandraske 8.2 tree including the libraries and they ar all in the same directory. I have had the same problem with the GUI front-end and don't use it any longer. Try doing a 'man urpmi.addmedia' to build the necessary string to add the directory from the command prompt. This usually works even if Mandrake Update fails. If you have downloaded all the files in the KDE directory for Mandrake 8.2, you should have all the necessary files and 'urpmi *' will work.
