for me, its 2 things. 1, I can't drive (and you know why) and 2, I don't have enough funds to pay for room and registration. its been a very long times since I was last at a DEFCON. I'd very much like to return, but unless I can get some cash (like working on machines as payment, etc), I'm pretty much stuck. btw, who all is going?
