Both Susan and I can open the original gif file from the website using gimp - 
no problem.

On my machine I just right-mouse-clicked and did a 'save-as'. I then just 
opened the file (plug.gif) using gimp 1.2 .

The installfest flyer was done using gimp and the PLUG logo from the website.
