IDA Pro is a killer disassembler. I've only played with the Win32 PE format demo, but the real one does Linux ELF binaries, as seen at: http://www.datarescue.com/idabase/gallery/pc_linux_elf.htm and an unbelievable selection of processors & OSs. Lookee: http://www.datarescue.com/idabase/gallery/index.htm Not free, or even cheap. Steve I _really_ want it. :-( technomage wrote: > > mcedit has a decent hex editor in it already (open the file with F3 then hit > the F3 key again and you are in hex edit mode) > > as for a good disassembler? not sure on that one > > Technomage > > On Thursday 02 May 2002 11:10 am, you wrote: > > Hello, > > I am looking for a disassembler and hex editor...could someone point me > > in the right direction? > > Thanks, > > Rod > > > > ________________________________________________ > > See http://PLUG.phoenix.az.us/navigator-mail.shtml if your mail doesn't > > post to the list quickly and you use Netscape to write mail. > > > > PLUG-discuss mailing list - PLUG-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us > > http://lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss > > -- > I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed, or > numbered! > My life is my own - No. 6 > ________________________________________________ > See http://PLUG.phoenix.az.us/navigator-mail.shtml if your mail doesn't post to the list quickly and you use Netscape to write mail. > > PLUG-discuss mailing list - PLUG-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us > http://lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss
