Just a quick summary of tomorrow's GCC presentation: This presentation is focused on assessing a Linux system in terms of security, with an emphasis on self-assessment. It is oriented towards those with a basic understanding of networking and linux, but looking for more understanding of how to identify and correct potential security problems. Tools to be discussed include: netstat lsof nmap logcheck snort aide and others. I hope to keep the focus on helping linux users secure their systems, and less on "advanced hacking" techniques. - Bob
