I run RedHat 7.2 with the standard 2.4.7 and 2.4.9 kernels from RedHat with KDE 2.2.2 and I use konqueror almost always as my browser. I have had no instances of the computer freezing. I only use the screensaver (whatever it's name) that displays my own images from a specified directory so maybe it is the actual screensaver you are choosing that makes the difference? I have had this happen when the screensaver is running. I have noticed that the screensaver seems to run up the cpu usage to nearly 50% when it's running. I have disabled the screensaver and so far have not had the problem. I am running 7.1 with most of the upgrades to the 7.2 packages and my own compiled kernel. I seem to remember seeing most of these problems when I'm running konqueror and have the kvm switched to another machine. > > thx > > ________________________________________________ > See http://PLUG.phoenix.az.us/navigator-mail.shtml if your mail doesn't post to the list quickly and you use Netscape to write mail. > > PLUG-discuss mailing list - PLUG-discuss@lists.plug.phoenix.az.us > http://lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss > -- Patrick Fleming, EA Licensed to represent taxpayers before Exam, Appeals, and Conference divisions of the IRS ________________________________________________ See http://PLUG.phoenix.az.us/navigator-mail.shtml if your mail doesn't post to the list quickly and you use Netscape to write mail.
