Interesting that we already had a post about this today as I
was about to ask some basic questions about Linux/Wireless

I just moved into a new home that would be a nightmare
to wire for cat5 (high ceilings and no attic). Additionally,
I have a nice spot out at the pool that looks like a perfect
spot to kick back and play with Perl. Wireless appears to be my answer.

Can anyone recomend a good unit (hub? and pcmcia card) to purchase.
I had a unit here in the office (believe it was an Adtran?) that got snatched
up by one of my users before I good give it a whirl; it had linux drivers
on the CD.

I am running Debian, and fixing on 'upgrading' to the "testing" dist
today if that makes a differance.


I am also in the market for a handheld. I know nothing about Linux and handhelds.
Can anyone direct me to a good site that addresses linux and handhelds?
