I just saw an ad in the freebie "bizAZ" magazine on page 35 that is offering Qwest DSL customers a special deal to switch to them as ISP. Now through the end of December they are offering $0 setup fees for switching to their DSL ISP service. I was told it takes about ten days but they don't shut down your service during that time (which is what Qwest told me is necessary). They said service will be down for a few minutes when they actually switch it over, tho, and you can keep using your Cisco 675/8 modem. It looks like for the same price that Qwest charges, you get the same level of service (except not MSN) and ... a STATIC IP !!! This is an Inficad ad, but GetNet just bought them. Does anybody have anything interesting to say about their service with either GetNet or Inficad? FWIW, this same issue also has a handy guide to ISPs in the Phoenix and Tucson areas on page 39. It's a little dated (already) but useful. -David
