So here I am with a dual boot using Linux and W2K. I use W2K with Outlook 2000 as my default email client and Outlook express as a multi-account email client and as my default news client and ie5.5. I just set up my brother's older pc using win98 and the same clients as me. Ok, better late than never. Which browser, email and news clients can I use and which are 1. the easiest for newbies 2. the best for more advanced users or should I post this as a new thread? -----Original Message----- From: plug-discuss-admin@lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us [mailto:plug-discuss-admin@lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us]On Behalf Of Jim Sent: Wednesday, December 12, 2001 9:48 AM To: plug-discuss@lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us Subject: Re: Just in case you use IE... Heh - I refused to put my wife's W98 box on our internal network until she promised not to use IE and OE. She now runs Mozilla and is connected to the world. The most interesting part of this issue is how long MS has known about the situation with little mention of it, let alone a patch or work-around. Btw, this is just the latest in a long string of security issues with IE/OE. Why anyone ronning Windows stull uses either is beyond me.
