I had what seems to be a similar problem with my ISP. My firewall (Smoothwall) has a cute option for this already but anyway, you probably need to send a carriage return '^M'. Good luck. Oh, also, the Linux name for authentication is probably PAP. Bryce C. I tried at the beginning of this year, but couldn't do it, because I couldn't figure out their authentication protocol. (I think that was the reason -- sorry my memory is a little fuzzy.) I was following the PPP-HOWTO guide. Anyways, I plan to try it again this weekend. If anyone has established a connection, I would appreciate it if you can suggest what to do. I have a connection via WinDoze 98, but I can't get it to work under Linux. And they (MCC) aren't of any help. Thanks, Sriram ________________________________________________ See http://PLUG.phoenix.az.us/navigator-mail.shtml if your mail doesn't post to the list quickly and you use Netscape to write mail.
