Either both are correct, or someone printed the
wrong thing on the cable they manufactured.
The hyphen I omitted is probably important.

I have two lengths of network cable here, which
seem physically the same.  One is labeled CAT-5,
he other is labeled CAT-V (I assume that's a Roman
"V").  My "CAT-V" cable has the same number of
pairs, and is not a TV cable for sure.  Anyway,
that's where I got the "CatV" thing.
