I was going to ask this question here, but then I found the answer, and
thought I'd post it, perhaps someone out there wondered the same thing.

Q: I've downloaded the ISO images for _____ (fill in your favorite
distribution) but I want to do network installs without keeping a second
copy in my "regular" filesystem.  How?

Also try 'man lndir' -- lndir is a really cool command I hadn't seen
