Hi Lucas, You probably already got this answered but a was just fooling around with the ogg tools the other day. I compiled all the stuff and encoded an ogg file and was able to play it. I couldn't use the xmms with a plugin for vorbis because I'm on Debian potato. To answer your question, I read that only two channels are currently active but they have the ability to add more and are planning to. I went to the Richard Stallman talk and he suggested that supporting the free CODECs and players is a really good idea.
