I feel that if we allowed free market forces dictate what is "right" and "wrong" we will end up with a much better definition of what is morally acceptable than if individuals are allowed to dictate the definition of morallity. I also believe that the United States of America has the best foundation to this end, the Constitution and Bill of Rights. There is an inherent reaction from individuals to recoil at laws, rules or regulations that come from individuals promoting themselves as morally superior. ----- Original Message ----- From: Craig White To: Sent: Friday, September 14, 2001 10:27 PM Subject: Re: anonymous services > "J.Francois" wrote: > > > > I had to read thru the other responders on this thread before I answered. > > Everyone had good opinions so I think I need to explain why I do any of this. > > > > I am first generation American. > > > ----- > Actually, I don't think you needed to explain yourself - whatever you > decide to do is right for you. > > If you recall, the ACLU defended the Nazi's right to march in Skokie > Illinois so it's clear that some people are so convinced of the need for > the freedoms guaranteed by the Bill of Rights that they will take > positions that they find abominable.
