Is this purely a Windows machine, or > will Linux be no prob? Running Linux on this should be a snap. Most distributions (Mandrake for instance) come with an SMP kernel already built. We have a dual 600 PIII w/ Mandrake 7.0, a dual Xeon w/ Mandrake 8.0, a dual 366 celeron and dual 233 PII also with Mandrake 8.0. Things just pretty much work right out of the chute. If you are worried about the SCSI, use a single IDE drive to install onto until you iron out any bugs with your SCSI. Windows 95/98 will not support SMP, NT and 2000 will but WHO CARES ??? Dual processor boxes are very quick to respond, and IMHO, way coool. -- Kevin O'Connor People in cars cause accidents... Accidents in cars cause people.
