Hi All,

I was able to get a basic system working with the following configuration.

[global]
 workgroup =  workgroupone
 encrypt passwords = yes

[test]
 comment = for testing only
 path = /users
 read only = no
 guest ok = yes


Note :

1) workgroup name must match client workgroup name.
2) test is the name of the share.
3) You must make a directory named /users
4) Must chmod  777 /users
5) I think you need to restart Samba.


I'm going to go though the original smb.conf file supplied by Caldera and
comment everything out until I find what was causing me problems.

I post the problem as soon as I find it.
