moin, moin, Craig's Q about nfs reminds me to ask if anybody has a preferred alternative to nfs. I'm thinking about playing with openafs. I don't want samba. The remote filesystem over ftp might be OK as long as it can do passive ftp. I'd either setup ftp to use ssl or tunnel the whole thing over ssh. Not sure how that would work for home dirs, though. SGI's remote journaled filesystem would be ultracool, but I think they want major buckage for it and it's really overkill for what I need :). ciao, der.hans -- # der.hans@LuftHans.com home.pages.de/~lufthans/ www.YourCompanyHere.net ;-) # I chose to use the kernel sources as my documentation. ;-) # -- Kevin Buettner
