Not too much in there, except it does depend on xlib6g. I'd suggest dropping in a bug with severity wishlist to have makedepend not depend on any X packages. Also look at the docs in /usr/share/doc/. Looks like imake and xmkmf depend on xlibs-dev. makedepend probably needs them :(. > package. I had hoped to keep the box X free, pun intended. Is there some > work around this? Or does it really matter, and should I just apt-get > whatever I need? yeah: apt-get install fetchmail # ;-) Other than that or redoing the package, though, I think you're stuck. Kind of stupid for fetchmail to depend on X stuff. Then again, if makedepend really kicks butt, then the sucky part is that makedepend depends on X :). > I'm running Debian, potato, pretty much stock-installed stuff. It's a shame cuz I love pine. I wanted to fly up to UW to kick their butts, but was afraid that if any natural disasters happened m$ would blame them on me :). The KDE licensing stuff is finally resolved, but we haven't yet had another stable release. A bunch of the KDE stuff is in testing and there's even more in unstable. ciao, der.hans -- # der.hans@LuftHans.com home.pages.de/~lufthans/ www.YourCompanyHere.net ;-) # If you're not learning, you're not living. - der.hans
