There is no 'nologin' file in the /etc directory. If you try to ssh in as somebody other than 'root', then it just says 'authentication failed'. I've looked all over for any help on this and I'm not having any luck. Any ideas? Okay, I've got to be missing something = obvious:

I can ssh in to a server (using SSH1 - = not my server, so I can't just upgrade them to SSH2) as root, but not = as any other user (I can su another user once in, however).  There = is no 'nologin' file in the /etc directory.  If you try to ssh in = as somebody other than 'root', then it just says 'authentication = failed'.  I've looked all over for any help on this and I'm not = having any luck.

Any ideas?
