On their property, perhaps. The trick is to get outside the door, then screw with their minds... If I don't have to wait to be checked, I'll usually play along. On a busy day when they can't bother to put more than one guy up there and the line backs up, screw it. The checks are for their advantage, so they shouldn't inconvenience me. I suddenly go deaf and suffer tunnel vision. Pushing a particularly noisy and laden cart, I managed to get one girl to hustle after me until she finally gave up halfway to the back of the parking lot. Apparently, they're not prepared to shoot you in the back. Should they ever stop me outside of the store, my first question will be whether they're accusing me of taking anything. If not, I'll leave. If they say "yes", the game really begins and I start talking about warrants, police and lawyers. I have no idea if any of this would stand up in court, but I count on it costing them too much to bother trying to win. > As long as they don't notice the CD's stuffed inside your pants, everything > is OK. > > Craig > > ps...the girl 'guarding' the door at Fry's the other day was rather > attractive - unfortunately, she didn't try to frisk me. > > > ________________________________________________ > See http://PLUG.phoenix.az.us/navigator-mail.shtml if your mail doesn't post to the list quickly and you use Netscape to write mail. > > Plug-discuss mailing list - Plug-discuss@lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us > http://lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss >
