-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hello all, I am having some trouble with the backup exec agent for unix. I pulled the tarball that came with our version of BE 8.0 and installed it qithout a hitch on Debian 2.2. I put the backup server listed in my agent.cfg file into my hosts file with the correct IP and when I start the agent it starts flawlessly. Using netstat and lsof I can see that the agent has opened up the right ports. Oh yeah, I have the correct listing in my services file as well. The BE server on NT has "Listen for TCP/IP agents" enabled, but I still never see my agent listed under the "agents" tree branch in the backup selections menu. Anyone on the list have a similar plight with the backup exec agent or a lot of experience dealing with it? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for taking the time to read my post.
