Nope. It handles all the things that client does, but there are certain limitations (eg, you can't drag/drop messages from folder to folder, you don't have access to PSTs, client-side rules don't run, etc etc). I forgot to get a screen shot of my task list, and would have put a screenshot of my Contacts up there too (most of which were sync'd from the palm ), but I was too lazy. =) Depending on the situation, Outlook/Exchange is hard to compare to. I've tried OpenMail, and even worked on my own sendmail/ldap/php deal, but didn't like the results of either. OM is definitely getting there though. Horde/IMP is very cool if you're ok with just a web interface. The thing is that I was able to get BO4 for such a steal, that the TCO of Exchange vs. OM was not even worth comparing. If I had more time to work on it, and the TCO $$ wasn't an issue, I definitely would have pursued OM. marco -----Original Message----- From: plug-discuss-admin@lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us [mailto:plug-discuss-admin@lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us]On Behalf Of Kevin Brown Sent: Wednesday, November 22, 2000 12:06 AM To: plug-discuss@lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us Subject: Re: Exchange Ok, well it appears I was misinformed. I was led to believe that the web interface would only deal with Email, kinda like having a Hotmail Account. > use the web interface > > screenshots: http://www.public.asu.edu/~hondaman/exchange.html ________________________________________________ See http://PLUG.phoenix.az.us/navigator-mail.shtml if your mail doesn't post to the list quickly and you use Netscape to write mail.
