It is not necessary to install linux on a computer to use the rawrite
program. Put the linux CD in the Win box and look for the DOSUTILS
directory your friend mentioned. Run the rawrite program from the CD in an
MS-DOS prompt window on your Win box. It will work fine.

I would really rather avoid installing Linux on
my Windows machine as I already have another Pentium machine with a blank
hard drive that is going to be exclusively Linux OS. That is, if I can
get beyond the first 30 seconds of trying to install it!
