\_ I should have mentioned this before. The SCSI drive is *supposed* to \_ be the faster drive. It's a 7200 RPM drive whilst the IDE drives are \_ only 5400 RPM drives. SCSI is designed for 1 adapter -> N devices IDE is happier when 1 adapter -> 1 device I bet if you do ide_adapter -> 4 devs and scsi_adapter -> 4 devs, you'll see a significant favor in scsi.
