That's one of the one's I tried...being max'd out was probably why it died though. =( I left the machine for about 30 minutes, came back, and it was waiting for me to choose packages, so it may have just needed some time I suppose. When I installed NetBSD on this machine a few weeks ago, it was pretty quick. =) -----Original Message----- From: plug-discuss-admin@lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us [mailto:plug-discuss-admin@lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us]On Behalf Of ericb@cybertrails.com Sent: Wednesday, September 27, 2000 9:32 PM To: plug-discuss@lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us Subject: Re: rh via ftp I've installed it several times off our ftp site ... ftp.cybertrails.com here in Phoenix.. of course, since redhat 7.0 came out, our server's been maxed out :) Later... I would like to ask about any information related to using apt and dselect as the man pages are not quite explicit enough. I am not a programmer by no means so some of the tags just seem greek to me. I also have talked to a few people and read some reviews and seems the most commonnly suggested Linux guides are Running Linux and Linux in a Nutshell (O'reilley) followeed by Linux Problem Solver by Brian ward. I would appreciate any input on the subjects. I am really trying not to abuse the priviledge of posting here as I really don't have a lot to offer in the way of problem solving just trying to get away from windows...Fast!! Thanks again, John
