after recently reinstalling my system (problems resulted from the X 4.0.1 install) I was unable to get dhcpcd -h -D to work. it took booting to windows 98, getting an assigned IP from them and then rebooting back to linux before I could get the static IP to work (dhcpcd doesn't appear to work anymore.). however, I am back on the net right now using static IP addressing under linux. go figure Ronald Ellis wrote: > Help! > > I am running Linux-mandrake 7.1 I am having problems with my cable > modem.
