I am not to sure about the different progs. and the way they work in Linux.If I am understanding correctly I believe the JDK I am using is called Kaffee. I really didn't consider the time it took for java to load in star office. I have noticed some improvement by using hdparm. I do a lot school work via the internet if you know of another browser for Linux that is java and flash capable please let me know.
