I was on an Alpha list, but as of now it is down. It only generated about 3 messages a week and on the days that it exceeded that it was mostly people posting code fixes for various parts of the 2.4 kernel for specific alpha machines. This came to another account of mine. >>linux-8086-tmp@pizda.ninka.net, linux-admin-tmp@pizda.ninka.net, >>linux-alpha-tmp@pizda.ninka.net, linux-apps-tmp@pizda.ninka.net, >>linux-bbs-tmp@pizda.ninka.net, linux-c-programming-tmp@pizda.ninka.net, >>linux-console-tmp@pizda.ninka.net, linux-diald-tmp@pizda.ninka.net, >>linux-doc-tmp@pizda.ninka.net, linux-fido-tmp@pizda.ninka.net >> >>Subject: Vger lists have moved >> >>The old lists run at vger.rutgers.edu have been moved to >>vger.kernel.org due to an irrecoverable hard-disk failure of the old >>machine, the lists were planned to be moved anyways. You can also check out www.alphalinux.org for information. www.cpumicromart had an install guide for RH5.2 that with minor adjustments works for 6.0 and 6.2 for the DEC Alpha Multia. I used it to get two systems running. One system is about to be wiped for a minimalist Debian install for a test db. > There have to be some user groups out there SOMEWHERE for Linux on Alpha > boxes! If you find one let ME know.
