There are a ton of "word processors" available for Linux for free - Star
Office has one, so does WP Office 2000 and ApplixWare (not free) and dontr
forget AbiWord.  The best choice depends on how many "features" are
important to your friend and how much interoperability he/she needs with
others using other products.
