Worked fine, but I wanted to set up as a server with a 2nd nic. Note: I dual boot with W98 2ed. I got hold of 3 Dlink 530TX PCI cards and figured that if one could configure well, then perhaps 2 would appease both W98 & Red Hat 6.2. I shut down, pulled the 3c509, inserted one 530TX and started up. Both operating systems configured pretty easily, but Red Hat kept eth0 for the 3c509 even though it’s gone. The next time I booted RH it wouldn’t connect Netscape until I entered Linuxconf and, 1. disabled eth0 (button) and 2. enabled eth1 (button) Without rebooting I could connect. Very cool. However, I went to boot today and got this insmod: /lib/modules/2.2.14-5.0/net/3c509.o: insmod eth0 failed Bringing up interface eth1 Delaying eht1 initialization. [FAILED] Any suggestions? Additional note: I apologize if the format of this letter is displayed poorly. I generally correspond with PLUG discussion with linux using text and w98 for others using Word as my editor, but obviously my linux doesn’t email right now. ------=_NextPart_000_0000_01BFF191.AF8F0180 Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable
