This is really easy. Edit /etc/dhcpd.conf and add: host mycomputer { hardware ethernet xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx; fixed-address 10.0.1.1; } where xx's is the mac id of the ethernet card. Then, restart dhcpd. :-) =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Gary Nichols gary@neoplanet.com Network Operations Mgr NeoPlanet, Inc. http://www.neoplanet.com Penguin Powered =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- ----- Original Message ----- From: "Barnett, Blake" To: Sent: Wednesday, July 19, 2000 10:02 AM Subject: RE: DHCP and fixed IP addresses > I have also heard this and would be interested in having it explained.
