I could not agree more with this. I have been using OpenBSD on my firewall for about a year and it is pretty rock-solid-- it's been up problem-free since last summer (minus some down-time to paint my computer room). Being able to install my firewall by just writing a boot floppy and then having the install grab everything I wanted over FTP was nice. The install could not have been uglier aesthetically speaking, but it could not have been prettier regarding the ease of install. I still love Slack for my workstation/server, but I definitely prefer the OpenBSD install method. > -----Original Message----- > From: Jonathan Furrer [SMTP:jonny@jofu.com] > Sent: Sunday, July 09, 2000 11:28 PM > To: plug > Subject: OpenBSD > > wow, on a bet from a friend I decided to install openbsd on a box which I > had sitting around at work.
