Thanks for the info. I was wondering why it seemed to loose the port completly when I did that. :-) I should have thought to check for a inetd config file. I'll try not to be so lazy next time. ;-) Don BTW, Since /etc/services is aliases ports could you play with that and have standard services always go through non standard ports huh?
