It installs the source code (and can compile it automatically) as opposed to the binary. Unless you want to apply patches to the standard source, you should probably get the binary. The .i386 signifies that the binary is for x86 architectures only, so if you run an Alpha/Sparc/etc, you need the .src. > Thanks, > Keith > > -- > Jesus is Lord!, > Keith Smith > 520.298.2227 > ------------------------------ > Come see what's new at: > http://www.christian-home.net/ > > _______________________________________________ > Plug-discuss mailing list - Plug-discuss@lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us > http://lists.PLUG.phoenix.az.us/mailman/listinfo/plug-discuss > - -- Primary Email (PGP): natedog@well.com Alternate Email (no PGP): nsaper420@yahoo.com PGP Key: http://www.well.com/user/natedog/key.pgp http://www.well.com/user/natedog/ AOL Instant Messenger: linuxfu ICQ: 64619307 finger natedog@well.com -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.1 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Processed by Mailcrypt 3.5.5 and Gnu Privacy Guard iD8DBQE5RbvYUv7vZyB+cZkRAkv2AJ9HIOZckdmyHcRzIgtQa47Y0QU0VgCfazJ9 ub7Jj77qkLUYw7qOifUwFzE= =6LLM -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
