IBM/Linux relationship The main topic of the presentation is going to be on the IBM/Linux relationship. Some of the questions the presentation will answer; Where we are in the relationship ? Where are we going ? What have we done (releases,supporting IBM Linux on IBM platforms)? The presenter bio's Kati Bartfi is the IBM National Executive Linux principle. She been with IBM for many years and has under of Linux strategy. Her team has a great job is help customers understand Linux and help the successfully implement it with IBM's help. II. Firewalling with Linux 2.2.x Presentation: The presentation will include but not be limited to the following: - Introduce kernel 2.2.x using ipchains with examples - Short overview on turning off unnecessary services The presenter bio's Der.Hans started computer stuff late in life, but has been a *NIX fan from day one. Open Source *NIX was a natural step in his knowledge evolution. After sys_adm stints at ASU and Motorola he has wandered into the funded startup OpNIX, where he is a developer. He is also a member of most every *NIX group he's met :).
