Okay Now I don't generally think of myself as being a sloppy programmer but looking back my Java code is almost *always* cleaner than my Perl and certainly better than my VB. I think that's what the "exeperts" mean when they say Java is a better. That the same programmer will code better in Java. Of course a sloppy coder will code sloppy regardless of the language. But its *easier* to code clean in Java, whereas in Perl/VBScript its often easier to get away with sloppy code.
