moin, moin, firewalls keep coming up as topics for some reason :). Anyway, 13 June I will be doing a Linux firewall presentation for AZSAGE. I will only be covering current state, e.g. kernel 2.2.x and ipchains. Time limit is just a bit more than an hour. The presentation will be at the IBM offices downtown, 2929 S. Central, doors open at 18:30. They were contemplating taking RSVPs, so please pay attention for that. As a pre-show, one of the local IBM dudes will be going over IBM and its Open Source position. http://www.AZSAGE.org/ If there are any particular features you'd like to see let me know. I make no promise to even think about covering them :), but I will try to incorporate suggestions. Please don't flood the list with requests. Flood my PLUGd@LuftHans.com mailbox instead. If I get a bunch of stuff I will post a summary to the list. Also, please remember I am no security or firewall expert. I just worked my way through this stuff and am willing to allow people to laugh at my knowledge level in a public arena ;-). ciao, der.hans PS Their July topic is NT and *NIX working together. They list Jean doing firewalls in Aug, but that had to be cancelled due to Jean's schedule being full. -- # der.hans@LuftHans.com home.pages.de/~lufthans/ www.OpNIX.com # You can't handle the source! - der.hans
