If the later, then the CGI error mesg concerning improper capitalization may be actually pointing to the fact that you may have 2 servers installed. The working one somehow with an odd name that's tripping things up? A couple of books. Of course your probably aware of the O'Reilly's DBI book, by Bunce and Descartes.
