I need to find out some information on the general embdded operating systems
available, and find out general information on them - suported hardware, how
easy they are to develop on, etc. I have never done anything as far as
embedded systems go, so I am at a loss as far as knowing good resources. So
far, we are looking at:

java(do they have an embedded OS?)
Linux
CE
embedded NT
Be?

The embedded system/OS has to be able to support GUI's, as it is a very
GUI-intensive application we are looking to build on the chosen platform.

If you can give me any kind of useful input I would greatly appreciate it.
