You will not start a flame session with me on this issue. I agree. I want to reduce our reliance on M$ products, but cannot afford to ignore clients who have the M$ slant. We have NT, NT-TSE, Win95, Win98, and probably some Win2000 out of self-defense. Too many of our bills are paid by supporting M$ products for us to ignore it. If we can build our revenue with sales of our business software into the Linux community, we will squeeze out the M$ support and reliance on that revenue more quickly. Incidentally, I have lately identified some potential for our business management software to install in OS/2 Warp4 environments. Anyone on this list have experience in working with OS/2? >Yes MS Office is bloated, expensive, and probably caused the titanic to >sink, but it is "today" the most widely used office application, and >personally i'd use it over any of the 3 below listed, but wouldn't it be >great (maybe it's possible now) to be able to run it under linux. > > > > > >>We are interested in happenings regarding WINE, but not in the context >>of making more M$ software run on it.
