I didn't have to get to the learning curve to be discouraged -- I didn't get past their web page. They offer a "Personal Edition" to download for a test drive, but when you get to the FAQ it mentions that you need 600MB on Drive C. Guess what: I've already encountered too many stupid/arrogant apps that insist on installing to Drive C, and now that volume's full. Conclusion: BeOS is not a serious contender.
