Is XFree 4.0 going to be able to help in this some with the DRI? or is that only for 3d? I am just now starting to dive into 4.0 at home with my brand spanking new voodoo3 3500. Of course installing X 4.0 and a new kernal now X don't work, but I am still working on it. Even if the DRI is for 3d only would it be faster possibly to paint a 2d image into a dri 3d window? kind of like what glxmame does? Might also make for better play back as you would be able to do that thing that 3d cards do to make everything a little fuzzy/smooth things out. Just some discussion questions Bill Warner ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
