Skills required: * Individual must be motivated, ambitious, and responsible. * Experience with Linux, *BSD, and/or UNIX systems and networks. * Experience with WAN and LAN technologies including SONET, ATM, BGP4, OSPF, VRRP, 10/100/1000 Ethernet, switching, routing, multihoming, peering, VLANs, ACLs, OSI Layers 1 - 7, etc. * Experience with OC48, OC12, OC3, DS3, and T1 WAN circuits, as well as fiber, UTP, and coax LAN/MAN connectivity. * Experience with Internet and Telecom network infrastructure design, deployment, and troubleshooting. * Knowledge of SNMP, DNS, HTTP, FTP, SMTP, and other server-side protocols and systems. * Ability to have fun! Optional/Helpful skills: * Experience with Foundry Networks equipment. * Experience in a NOC/NCC Carrier-class environment. * Circuit provisioning. * Routing/Switching protocol design and development. * Experience with Tier-1 Telecom Carrier networks. * Experience with data centers and/or colocation facilities. * Abilty to consume pizza and large quantities of Mountain Dew.
