If you have fast and stable internet access you could do it over the internet through either ftp or http from one of the listed mirror sites for the distribution that you want. If you are using Redhat or Mandrake one other thing that you could do is to format the drive with a dos disk and make it a system drive. Then boot off of the hard drive and on the cd there is a directory called dosutils that has a file called autoboot.bat and it will restart the computer and start the linux install for you. At that point you can go ahead and repartition the drive using the linux install and deleted the dos partition that you created.
