I hear the same thing.  6 years ago I bought a 1TB SSD for my work <br>
computer.  It came with a 5 year guarantee.  I was untrusting at first. <br>
This is my daily driver.  I under use it in that I do not store as much <br>
data on it as it really can hold.  I run anti-virus almost weekly and I <br>
treat it just like it was a spinner.  I have forgotten it is an SSD <br>
except at boot time....<br>

I assume there are some lesser quality SSDs out there.<br>
